I am one of the co-founders of PI Advisory.  PI Advisory was formed in 2022 by Iain Maclean and myself.

Back in the late 90s, I moved down to London from Edinburgh, drawn there by a job offer.  London had been on my mind for a decade or more since a visit to family in trendy Notting Hill showed me what a right mixed bag of posh and poor the city is. I loved it!

When a job offer from the prestigious Coopers and Lybrand (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers/PwC) came along, I jumped at it. It was to help rebuild a deskside support team that had been decimated. My guys would come to your desk and fix your computer problems – very much a Rolls Royce service, which is something you don’t often see these days.

After a while, and with promotions, my job came to be centred on IT relationship management. I worked with senior leaders and managers, determining business requirements and how technology could enable them. This was truly bridging the gap between tech and business. The role was about being a trusted advisor and was focused on people, rather than being technical.

Since my move to London, I have held a variety of roles with major blue chip organisations, SME's and Not for Profit.

Along the way, I’ve managed, mentored, coached, and developed a whole bunch of good (and not-so-good) people.  This has given me great insight into the human psyche.

Moving into 2017 and looking for a new challenge, I found that coaching was a natural calling for me. I went and got some qualifications, building on my professional and life experience, and I am now a qualified transformational coach.

All the above has given me extensive experience and it is this experience I bring to the table in any position I work in.

My way of working (that I print on my business cards) is direct, realistic, and experienced!

Authenticity and Integrity are my key values.

Professional, today I wear various hats - working in a mixture of senior IT leadership roles on a consultancy basis and or working with corporate clients, working with key individuals in a coaching / mentoring capacity or with PI Advisory whereby we deliver our unique public speaking course - for me personally leveraging from my vast corporate experiences whilst using my coaching skills.

Privately, I live in sunny Surbiton, SW London with my daughter and 2 miniature schnauzers.  You can often find me wandering Esher Woods with the dogs!  I just need to work out how I can do some outdoor coaching in those woods!

Finally, I also run a private and selective coaching practice, iBee Coaching, for individuals who invest in themselves for their own self-development.
